Help Needed At Masses
For those who have been helping, thank you! You make a difference and are very much appreciated. I asked a couple of people who have been helping clean how much time is involved, both when we were upstairs and now downstairs. They said that downstairs, 2 people, takes around 10-15 minutes; upstairs, 2 people, maybe a little longer, but not much.
Mass attendance is slowly increasing, and we need your help in order to comply with the reopening guidelines from the Diocese of Worcester and the State of Massachusetts. We are in need of volunteers to help as ushers during Mass to help with seating and volunteers to assist with cleaning the church in between the two Masses on Sunday. Please consider lending a hand to keep everyone safe. If you would like to volunteer, please contact the Parish Office, 508-885-3111, or let Ken Choquette know you are willing to help out.
How to Continue Giving Your Contributions to Our Parish
- When you come to Mass, drop them in one of the labeled baskets at the doors, either on your way into or on your way out of Mass.
- Bring them to the Parish Office (Monday-Wednesday, 9 am-5 pm). Go up the ramp to get to the Office.
- Mail them in: Mary Queen of the Rosary, 46 Maple St, Spencer MA 01562.
- You can set up give a one-time donation or set up recurring donations on our secure parish website portals. You will see in the image at the end of the note that you have 2 options:
- Credit Card Click on ONLINE GIVING at the bottom of the page (form will display on the page)
- Directly from your bank account. (Click on the "ParishSoft Giving Portal" link in the left column.I've not used the credit card option, but I've used the ParishSoft Giving Portal since it began.
- It is set up just like the envelope system, I have total control of which funds I give to (e.g. weekly contribution, St. Vincent de Paul, Christmas flowers just to name a few).
- You can make a one-time donation to a fund (e.g. Christmas or Easter) or make it a recurring donation.
- You have total control over how much you contribute and can change the amount any time before the withdrawal is made.
- You receive an email reminder 3 days prior to the withdrawal, so if I want to change the amount being withdrawn, you just have to do it prior to the withdrawal.
- You receive an email confirmation that includes a transaction number after the money withdrawn.
- You can see and print reports of your donations. This makes it easy for tax purposes
Per Fr. Bill, Confessions are back with proper social distancing. They will be in the sacristy with entry via only the door from the main church. There will be a screen for anonymity and a chair for face-to-face confessions. If the door to the sacristy is open, come in and close the door. When you exit the sacristy, leave the door open.
