In the name of the Father,

Brothers and sisters, 

let us acknowledge our sins.

I confess to almighty God

and to you, my brothers and sisters,

that I have greatly sinned,

in my thoughts and in my words,

in what I have done and in what I have failed to do, 

through my fault, through my fault, 

through my most grievous fault; 

therefore I ask blessed Mary ever-Virgin, all the Angels and Saints,

and you, my brothers and sisters,

to pray for me to the Lord our God. 

Let us pray.

O God, who reward the merits of the just

and offer pardon to sinners who do penance,

have mercy, we pray, on those who call upon you,

that the admission of our guilt

may serve to obtain your pardon for our sins.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,

who lives and reigns with you 

in the unity of the Holy Spirit, 

one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

For the Church, especially those waiting to be reborn in baptism, that, with Mary, we might trust in the power of God’s word. We pray to the Lord.
 Lord, hear our prayer.

For those in government, medicine and emergency services, that they might be given strength to persevere in these troubling times. We pray to the Lord.
 Lord, hear our prayer.

For our children and youth, that they not lose hope by this disruption of their lives. We pray to the Lord.
 Lord, hear our prayer.

That the example of Mary might teach us all to seek to do God’s will. We pray to the Lord.
 Lord, hear our prayer.

That our deceased brothers and sisters may be freed from all sin and be brought rejoicing into heaven this day. We pray to the Lord.
 Lord, hear our prayer.

At the Savior’s command

and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say: 

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name;

thy kingdom come,

thy will be done 

on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread,

and forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil. 

May your servants be shielded, O Lord, by the protection of your loving-kindness, that, doing what is good in this world, they may reach you, their highest good. Through Christ our Lord.

O God, whose Only Begotten Son bore the weight of human suffering
for our salvation, hear the prayers of your Church
for our sick brothers and sisters
and deliver us from this time of trial.
 
Open our ears and our hearts to the voice of your Son:
Be not afraid, for I am with you always.
 
Bless all doctors and nurses, researchers and public servants;
give us the wisdom to do what is right and the faith to endure this hour,
that we might gather once again to praise your name in the heart of your Church, delivered from all distress and confident in your mercy.
