March 2: 8th Sunday in Ordinary Time
March 9: 1st Sunday of Lent
Our Lenten Charity is Visitation House
Support Visitation House by filling a baby bottle with your spare change
during the Lenten Season as a Lenten sacrifice. Your gift is essential in helping Visitation House live its mission: to provide a safe harbor for
courageous women who have chosen life for their babies. Visitation House affirms the choice of life while providing support and guidance empowering moms to transition into motherhood with all its challenges.
Visitation House, located at 119 Endicott Street in Worcester, opened its doors on the Feast of the Visitation,May 31, 2005. Since that time, we have welcomed over 300 women and their children to our home.
Empty Baby Bottles will be at the church doors on March 8 & 9.
Return your baby bottle to the church by April 13th, Palm Sunday.

Hands-Only CPR and AED Training - February 15th
Did you know that February is "Heart Month"? How appropriate, then, that our parish hosted a "Hands-only CPR" and AED (automated external defibrillator) training on February 15th?
Backstory: Our Spencer Council Knights of Columbus (118) gifted our parish with an AED device a couple of years ago. It was installed in the front of the church near the confessional, but we needed to be trained. Recently, the Worcester Diocese has partnered with UMass Chan Medical School to offer this training:
Ours was the second parish in the diocese to participate in this program and was held on Saturday, February 15th in our church hall. Training was done by UMass Chan Medical School students. We learned "hands-only" CPR and how to use the AED. I pray we never need to have to use it!
Comment from Jim Pervier (on our Facebook post):
"The CPR / AED training that was offered for free, was conducted by UMass Chan Medical School students at
Mary Queen of the Rosary Parish hall was great! Many parishioners who never received this training, now are prepared to render life saving
assistance to someone whose heart has stopped. Thank you to the Spencer Knights of Columbus for purchasing the AED for our church, thank you to the medical school students and thank you to Ray Delisle for setting up this training!"
Thank you Council 118 Knights of Columbus and UMass Chan Medical School students!
Editor's note: In case you've not seen the location of our AED, it's between the statue of St. Joseph and the door going in to the Sacristy (near the Confessional).
