Highlights July 17- 24, 2021
Notice: Live Stream of 10:15 Mass Ending...
Sunday, July 18th, is the last live-streamed Mass for our parish. The Worcester Diocese has a live-streamed Mass at the Cathedral of St. Paul each Sunday at 10:00 am. Tune in to Channel 192 for Spencer for those who are homebound or unable to attend Mass in person. A schedule of Mass broadcasts can be found in the Catholic Free Press.
Partners in Charity Update...Special Challenge
Per the bulletin, we are at 84% of our goal: only $6,675 to go. See the attached flyer for a very special opportunity. Let's get this done!
As previously mentioned by Fr. Bill, unfortunately our elevator is not working at this time. The main control panel for the elevator has failed and needs to be replaced. This part has been ordered but is not expected to be installed until sometime in September. This is a costly repair for our parish and is estimated to cost $20,000. Please use the entrance on Prospect street while our elevator is down. We are sorry for the inconvenience this may be for some of our parishioners.
Help Close the Budget Deficit Campaign
This fantastic drawing is on August 15th.... I wonder who the winners will be? You, maybe?
How about this for a prize list!
Grand prize: an
entire book (50 tickets)
of $30 scratch tickets
3 prizes: $100 each
2 prizes: $50 each
Tickets: $20 per entry or six entries for $100
If you don't want to participate in the raffle, donations are gladly accepted.
Youth Community Service Hours Available
Students who need to complete community service hours for high school graduation requirements can contact the Parish Office at 508-885-3111, ext. 103. We can put you to work at our cemetery (Pray for Us) or doing small jobs around the church grounds.
Save the Hyde Amendment
The Hyde Amendment and similar laws have protected taxpayers from funding elective abortions for 45 years. Now, powerful members of Congress want to take away these laws that both Democrats and Republicans have supported for nearly half a century. Government money would be better spent supporting women in crisis pregnancies and struggling.
This week's bulletin is attached below and is
also available on our website.
